App Update and More!
It’s been a little while since our last update, but rest assured - things have been moving along nicely! We’ve had a lot on our plate recently between managing the Pledge Manager, launching Late Pledges, preparing for UKGE, travelling, and of course, attending the expo itself. Things have finally settled down, and we’re excited to refocus on all things Hexton Hills.
Late Pledges
If you know anyone who missed out the first time around, now’s the perfect chance to jump in. All unlocked stretch goals are included at the same great value - don’t let them miss it!
Imperia Hexica Now on Web App
Our web app has now been updated to include all currently available Imperia Hexica tiles. Whether you’re planning your next map or experimenting with layouts, you’ll now find the full range ready to use.
The Wasteland terrain is currently located in the Land tab, while all buildings can be found under Civilisation. These will be reorganised at a later date to make them easier to locate.
Note: The web app doesn’t display base tiles or stackers, so please keep that in mind when planning any Hive City maps - they’ll still be essential for physical builds.
Tile Discrepancies
We discovered that Wasteland Set 01 - the original promo set released ahead of Imperia Hexica used serial codes that clashed with some of the new Imperia Hexica tiles. To avoid confusion, we’ll be updating both the tile codes and names, which will involve reuploading the tiles with corrected serials. This will be addressed soon.
Wasteland Set 01 is now called Wasteland Promo Set, with the following code changes:
CS01 → PR22
CS02 → PR23
CS03 → PR24
CI01 → PR25
CI02 → PR26
CQ01 → PR27
These tiles are currently missing from the map maker app due to the discrepancies, but they’ll be re-added soon with the corrected information.
UK Games Expo
This was our second time exhibiting at UKGE, and once again we had a blast! It was genuinely gratifying to see everyone’s reactions to Dan’s incredible fantasy map (updated from last year) and a selection of our new Imperia Hexica tiles.
We were kept busy chatting with fans, backers, and newcomers alike. The experience left us more motivated than ever to keep expanding Hexton Hills and explore exciting new possibilities.
Merchants
We’re still collecting information from potential merchant partners, and once Late Pledges conclude, we’ll be reaching out to everyone who’s expressed interest with full details about our licensing setup. We’re still planning to manage this through MyMiniFactory Tribes, which will help keep tile libraries and licences as straightforward as possible.
What's Next?
Now that things have settled down, we’re getting stuck into finishing this campaign and delivering everything we’ve promised.
Our stretch goals remain the top priority, but we’ve also got a few loose ends to tie up. The old tile guides are being updated, and we’re creating new ones for Imperia Hexica, which will be refreshed with every release. A few hangover tiles still need updating and adding to Campaign 01 sets - if you own any of those, the new tiles will be added to your library automatically. We’ll post an update to let you know when they’re live.
Lastly
I’ve (Dan) just returned from the first-ever MyMiniFactory Creators Event, where I had the chance to meet a host of fellow makers, artists, and storytellers. As an introvert, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. The atmosphere was welcoming, the people were kind and inspiring, and it honestly blew my mind that so many folks knew of our work and appreciated what we do. I’ve come away from it all feeling hugely motivated and full of ideas.
A special shoutout to our friends at Mammoth Factory, who’ve just launched their new ATROXUS IMMORTALIS Frontier. If you’re a fan of death factions, skeletal steeds, and boney boys, you’re in for a treat, there’s even a 72-hour early bird bonus where you can grab 5 free creepy Skullcrawlers. Eek!
As always,
Keep it Hexy
