Campaign Status: Stable. Morale: Through the Roof!

Hey everyone,

I'm absolutely knackered (coming up to 11pm in the UK) , but before I head off to bed, I wanted to post a quick update summing up the first ~7 hours of our campaign.

Our funding goal was £2,000, and we hit that in just 15 minutes. As I’m writing this, we're sitting just shy of £24,000.  Wow.

Expanding into sci-fi has been a long time coming for us.  It’s something we’ve always wanted to do, but we knew we had to get it right. The world of blasted wastelands, hive cities, and rusted crawler tanks has been living in our heads for years, and we wanted to make sure our take on it did the genre justice.

That said, it’s also been a step into the unknown. Our first Kickstarter launched during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic - a strange and frankly awful time. Yet oddly, it coincided with a surge in support for 3D printing Kickstarters. With people stuck at home, hobby time increased and desktop 3D printers became a creative lifeline for many. It was hard to tell how much of that success was down to timing, and whether we’d ever see the same level of support again under more “normal” circumstances.

So to now see such an enthusiastic response to this new campaign, especially as we branch out into new thematic territory - means the world to us.

But todays response has honestly blown us away. We’re absolutely over the moon and so grateful for all the kind words left in the comments. Thank you for already making this launch such an incredible experience!

We’ve already unlocked three stretch goals and are closing in on a fourth:

£10k – Vehicle Tokens
Our tiles feature everything from tanks to dystopian industrial haulers. We're turning a selection of them into tokens, much like the ship and horseback traversal tokens we created in our first campaign.

£15k – Enclave Toppers
The Imperial Commune Enclave is a versatile set, perfect for hive city outskirts or smaller settlements. These toppers will allow them to sit atop other tiles as upper districts in a hive sprawl.

£20k – Dark Age Toppers
We’re adapting select tiles from the Military and Power Plant sets to sit on stacker bases – perfect for adding massive structures like the Celestis Annihilator Cannon to the skyline.
(Yes, you can technically stack any tile – but these toppers swap the usual base design, ditching serial codes, magnets, and tabs for a clean, seamless fit.)

And there’s plenty more to come – you’re unlocking stretch goals faster than we can draw the thumbnails for them! Jacques will be waking up in Australia soon, ready to crack on with some fresh doodles. We can’t wait to show you everything we’ve got planned.

Thanks again for making this such an incredible launch day!

Keep it hexy,

Dan & Jax
